I don’t think all search queries need a skyscraper or a final guide.
The correct length of an article depends on two factors:

But three years is the longest in the world of SEO. Mainly with algorithm updates over the past 12 months focused on content quality, authority, and search purpose.

Ahrefs' analysis of 2 million websites from 2018 supports the long running content debate.
Their study concludes that the average length (the number that separates the upper part from the lower part of the sample data, the "middle" middle) of the most active article is at least 800 words.

But here's the interesting part:
In 2019, Dean and BuzzSumo reviewed 912 million blog posts and found that long-form content gets more backlinks, which is a factor in ranking number 1 according to a 2016 survey!

Ahrefs reported in 2018 that 91% of all pages had never received biological traffic. And that seems to be mainly because they don't have backlinks:

Longer content leads to more links.
Additional links lead to better ratings (and organic traffic).
It seems that what can be put on the website level is not so much the length of the content itself (although it certainly helps to compete with the results of page 1), but first the number of page links found.
Guides, buildings, columns, and content pages make links very interesting, so it is recommended that you create a complete, attractive, and in-depth piece of content on the web and run a comprehensive campaign to access it.
Making it fun may not require even more words but more targeting, better graphics, or detailed market research results.
